I got another call from sonny boy a bit ago, telling me that he was finally on his way home; he asked me if there was any more news, since he had not been in a position to hear much for a while. When I told him that the perp was still alive, he was none too happy. When I added that the POS had gotten a promotion despite a negative review, he went ballistic.

(One could insert a long story here about the point system and promotions for people in his MOS. I won't. Quick take: I'd be po'd too.)
