A prominent national Muslim civil rights and advocacy group tonight condemned an attack on Fort Hood military base in Texas that left at least 12 people dead.
In a statement, the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) said:
"We condemn this cowardly attack in the strongest terms possible and ask that the perpetrators be punished to the full extent of the law. No political or religious ideology could ever justify or excuse such wanton and indiscriminate violence. The attack was particularly heinous in that it targeted the all-volunteer army that protects our nation. American Muslims stand with our fellow citizens in offering both prayers for the victims and sincere condolences to the families of those killed or injured."
Along with innumerable condemnations of terror, CAIR has in the past launched an online anti-terror petition drive called "Not in the Name of Islam," initiated a television public service announcement (PSA) campaign against religious extremism and coordinated a "fatwa," or Islamic religious ruling, against terrorism and extremism.

Not that I ever heard about, but I seriously doubt it. Did the person who killed at FT Hood do it in the name of Allah? Millions of people have been killed in the name of their god...Christian and Muslim.
To try and ban all from service would be futile, and wrong. If this was done “in the name of Allah”, it makes it all the more sad.
Tip off from the Kenyan Islamo Boy.
yes, christians are just as bad. I saw a few cut some heads off and chant “God Is Great”. Right....
Who CAIR’s?
Ever read about the Crusades? Christians haven’t always been so gracious in our history. Fortunately, we outgrew it. Unfortunately, I don’t see that happening on the other side...

The reality of the situation is hard to swallow, isn’t it? Pick a side...
muslims are liars.
According to their un-holy book, it is actually encouraged...
In public they will condemm, but in private, will high five it to each other.
But remember, the Crusides were a defensive action against Muslim aggression during the middle ages.
Exactly. If CAIR wants to show they really do condemn the attacks, they should be turning over names to the FBI.
I simply do not trust CAIR. Some American Muslims are horrified, I do not doubt. But, I also think and not in a PC way, the Military Branches are very foolish is they do put any Muslim in a powerful position and without real analysis, vetting, and inspection. I know this is not PC, but with Black Muslims recruiting in prison, the mosques in many urban areas just 5th Columns in our midst, America is setting itself to be like France, Germany and the West End of London. Not good.
Correction, “crusades”.
True, but not sure I’d call it defensive. The first was to retake Jerusalem after the muslims captured it in 1076. Wonder what the propaganda and such was back then?
Whats the difference?
Go back to DU loser

They were telling him that one guy was shouting something in Arabic while he was shooting, Tom Hunt said. He couldnt say much more than that.
There ya go Rose, thanks I was going hunting for that link.
CAIR, your “religion of peace” has now killed fifteen of my brothers in cold blood. Repent now, or Hell awaits.
Hunt said his son told him he loaded up many of the wounded and drove them to the hospital. The wounded relayed what they saw inside when the shooting happened.
