I think there is plenty to be troubled by in Islam but we're not going to win the war of ideas by sounding as crazy, dangerous, and genocidal as they do. Remember, plenty of Americans believe that right-wing radicals are every bit as dangrous sa the Muslim radicals and people like Timothy McVeigh and Eric Rudolph sure didn't help with that perception. But it is fair to assume that everyone here is a Timothy McVeigh waiting to happen or that Margaret Atwood's A Handmaid's Tale is a real possiblity?
