Not all Muslims interpret their religion the same way just as all Christians don’t. Perhaps that makes them bad Muslims from the perspective of the Fundamentalists and maybe they are all just fooling themselves and ignoring their own religion, but they exist. And let’s not forget that a large number of Christians believe that all non-Christians (if not all people who don’t belong to their particular sect of Christianity) are going to burn in Hell for eternity and that has been used, throughout the ages, to justify behavior every bit as murderous as that practiced by the Muslims. Look up the Rape of Constantinople, the Albigensian Crusade, the Saint Bartholomew’s Day Massacre, and I can go on and on, if you want. It’s not difficult to find anti-Christian and anti-religious atheists making the same argument that you are making, but directed at Christianity and/or Judaism.

Do we really want to be in the business of declaring religions, ideologies, and beliefs permissible or not and allow the persecution of people based on what they believe rather than what they’ve done? Really?

Declaring Religions, plural, not permissable, no. Declaring one religion, specifically Islam, is incompatable with freedom, absolutely.

In this modern day and age (sorry, but dont tell me about stuff that happened centuries ago. The argument that Christianity did things in the inquisition, so we just have to grin and bear it now is asinine) Muslims are involved in nearly every major conflict on the planet. Muslims have been involved in nearly every major terrorist event in the past. Muslims murder women who have the audacity to learn or get raped. Muslims have been responsible for 100% of hijackings in the past 30 years. Muslims cause problems in every nation that they dont dominate, and when they do dominate a nation, they work as hard as they can to funnel cash and weapons to cause trouble in nations that they dont dominate (Israel, India, the United States, The Sudan, etc...)

I get it. I get the slippery slope argument. If we dont defend someone’s right to be a muslim then what happens when they come for christians....I get it, I just dont care right now. I care more about not getting killed in a plane flying into a building, or burying soldiers because some fool wanted to kill them before they could go fight, or worse, not seeing a mushroom cloud over a major US city.

When the mob moves on to try to get rid of a religion that isn’t chock full, right now in the present day and age, of fanatics who wake up every morning and spend their day training to kill Americans, or spend every spare dollar trying to fund such activity, then I will make my empassioned stand against the mob. Right now, we’re under attack, and need to let Allah sort them out.

History tells the tale.

If you don’t see this, you need to read up on the history of Islam.
