On his radio show and cable television programs, first on CNN Headline News and now on the Fox News Channel, Mr. Beck has enthusiastically endorsed dozens of novelists, a majority of them writing in the thriller genre. Mr. Beck, who now attracts 9 million weekly listeners on radio and 2.7 million daily viewers on television, often selects authors whose plots or characters reflect political stances that mirror his own. But he also promotes the work of authors who may disagree with many of his views.

“He’s our Oprah,” said Brad Thor, a writer of political thrillers who has appeared on Mr. Beck’s radio and television programs several times. “God love him, we’re very fortunate.”

We’ve bought several “non-fiction” books at the recommendation of Beck (The Real George Washington, The 5000 Year Leap, etc.) and we have not been disappointed.

The MSM will not review conservative book authors. As a result the only exposure they can get is on conservative talk shows. I am surprised this somewhat sympathetic article was published in the NYT.

Only dissapointed by “Czar” by Ted Bell. Simply awful. Could not even finish it. I emailed Glenn and told him what I thought.

Yech.

I recommend The Gray Man, by Mark Greaney. It was a great read, and I can see an action movie being made of it.

Wasn't it Tsar? Ted Bell is very difficult to read, but his book Pirate was better than his others, and I did finish it late at night - couldn't put it down during the last half.
