I agreed, most people don't understand, Ft. Hood is humongous. It's running most of a Heavy Corps out of the place. You simply cannot search everyone and thing going in or out. The only way that's going to remotely happen is threatcon Charlie or Delta, and that'll mean a plain lockdown. That cannot be maintained indefinitely for obvious reasons.
