Knew a guy in the Air Force who wanted to get out, but they wouldn’t let him. His wife had left him and taken their son back to their home state. He worked out in the Missle Field - Security Forces - carried an M-16. He was afraid he’d go off the deep end. We talked about this at his place, which was barren after the wife had taken all their belongings. He tried to get help from his chain of command, including the Chaplain - no luck. One day he walked into his commander’s office for an appoinment he scheduled with him, sat down, took out a joint and lit it up. He was discharged shortly afterward.
