Mr. Hasan is a graduate of Virginia Tech University, where he was a member of the ROTC and earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry in 1997. He received his medical degree from the military’s Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md., in 2001. At Walter Reed, he did his internship, residency and a fellowship.
According to the Austin American-Statesman, Mr. Hasan’s parents were born in Jordan. The newspaper quoted Representative Michael McCaul of Austin, who has been briefed on the shootings at Fort Hood, as saying that Mr. Hasan “took a lot of advanced training in shooting.”
Hmmm...took a lot of advanced shooting training. Sounds like this was planned and not a spur of the moment thing.
