more typical hit-piece lie-by-omission journalism from The Politico.
The eight people arrested were ACORN types who staged a sit-in at Joe Lieberman’s office in support of single payer.
The author deceptively leads you to believe they were eight of us.
that’s what I was going to guess! that the arrested are liberals. Any word on how many are there now?
GRRRRRR!
Thanks for clearing that up.
The Politico should be ashamed of themselves.
My first reaction was to wonder if it was the other side’s protesters, not ours. But the way the piece is written makes you think it was the Tea Party people. What a bunch of cr*p.
I have to believe that is true. Looking at the NY 23rd District race, how is it that a Repub liberal captures the 6% to defeat Hoffman in a District where the opening in Congress was created by an appointment by Obama...this was a hand picked liberal political move. We have to keep all eyes on the sneaky bast***s

what a bunch of hacks!
the single payer advocates have been on Pacifica and the DUmmy blogosphere threatening to do this to Lieberman for a week now. Apparently the Politico and the Capitol Police are the last to know.
that’s what I figured.

To be fair they have corrected themselves and acknowledged their error.
In an unrelated incident, nine activists were arrested in the Hart building, and they are being processed at police headquarters, but Roll Call is reporting that these were protesters from the opposite end of the political spectrum Code Pink. All the buildings in the Capitol complex remain open for now. (The original version of this story incorrectly reported which protesters were arrested).
