About 20 to 25 protesters from CodePink, Mobilization for Health Care for All and Voters for Peace said they were asking Lieberman to sign an oath stating he would no longer accept money from insurance companies. According to the protesters, Lieberman’s staff offered to meet with them, but they were told the Senator himself was unavailable.The ones not arrested moved to a hearing of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee on financial crime, which was being chaired by Lieberman.
The protesters were antiwar protesters blocking Liebermans office, not tea party people!!!

They were Code Pink ... but you don’t find that out until the end of the article! Natch!

.. ano no w.. they’re not. They’re showing a press confernece on yet another child endangerment thing. I swear .. the fascination that news nets (and Greta van Missing-Persons-Report) have on carrying mundane news reports. All the while a VERY important occurrence on Capitol Hill and ..
Why can’t they carry a tape of that Press conference later in the day?

It would be nice if FOX would pump up the volume! I have my speakers on my computer, and the volume on the browser window all the way up, and I still can’t hear it.
The nine folks arrested were pro health care protesters at Sen Liebermans office because he would not support the health care plan with the public option. These protesters were not Tea Party Patriots. Make sure people know this.
The eight people arrested were ACORN types who staged a sit-in at Joe Lieberman’s office in support of single payer. The author deceptively leads you to believe they were eight of us.
To be fair they have corrected themselves and acknowledged their error.

I guess FOX News has gone the way of pMSNBS and CNN, because instead of reporting on a large rally and speeches by members of Congress outside of the Capitol just hours before a tyrannical vote that will affect EVERY American, they are reporting on GIANT FORKS IN A ROAD and SOME WOMAN’S WEIGHT LOSS!
Is FOX now trying to become cellar-dweller CNN? If I want fluff FOX, I’ll watch Oprah!!
