While there is little love between me and most of the republicans these days, when they are good and have the guts to lead, I will respect them. I am convinced it was those republicans that got the doors opened for us. One came out on the steps of the Cannon Building and yelled instructions to us, telling us we needed to surround the buildings and check EVERY door. ONE must be unlocked by law.
Cops were everywhere. For the first time in my life I yelled at a cop when he told a bunch of us we had to go down the street a block to cross the street. I said; "You have GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! I just drove into this hellhole and have stopped 1000 times for morons strutting across the street where ever they please." He said, I'm just trying to protect you ma'am. I yelled right back; "LOOK AT ME! I AM AN ADULT! I don't need you to teach me how to cross a street!" HE walked away...not me!

I was there! I went to bed at 2:00 AM and got up at 4:30 AM Thursday morning and left for DC at 5:15 AM. I spent MY money, drove MY car, picked up another patriot, drove nearly 400 miles arriving in DC around 11:30 and stood or walked for the next 6 hours. Then we got in the car and drove the 400 miles back to Ohio, only this time it took 9 hours to make the trip. Add in an hour stop for gas and some food and I arrived home at 4 AM, finally getting to bed at 4:30 AM. A phone call from one of "my guys" from Walter Reed woke me up at 8:30 AM ranting about the massacre at Fort Hood! Yeah, we knew the shooter.
If you call that a nice trip and a good day, you really should talk to someone about your delusions.
