From those of us who could not leave work today or had other obligations that kept us from participating, I want to take this opportunity to thank all of those who have gone to Washington to represent our interests and let our government officials know that we desire less government and personal accountability. Please stop Obama care in its tracks, roll back our taxes, and restore the free marker in the private sector. We can’t bear seeing our beloved constitution being trampled. Thank you.
Which should I go to? mmmm mmmm mmmm. Headed for the steps.
First Lady Michelle Obama to Visit DOE Headquarters
The First Lady, Michelle Obama, will visit DOE Headquarters on the afternoon of Thursday November 5, 2009. Mrs. Obama will join with Secretary Chu in personally thanking DOE’s employees for their long-standing service to our Country. The First Lady will also express her appreciation for the Department of Energys sponsorship of the Science Bowl initiative. The aim of Science Bowl is to groom the next generation of American scientists, engineers and educators, so that the United States can remain at the forefront of scientific and technical innovation, and successfully compete in the 21st Century.
A ticket will be required to attend the event, which will be held in the Auditorium. Ticket distribution will be by lottery in each program office. Further details will be available through each program office later today.
Doors will open at 1:00 p.m. and ticket holders must be in their seats by 1:30 pm. The program will begin shortly after.
For those who do not receive tickets, overflow viewing on video screens will be available in the Forrestal Cafeteria throughout the First Ladys appearance. Seating will be first-come, first-served and the Cafeteria will remain open during the event.
The closed event will also be broadcast live on DOEs in-house cable television; be sure to tune in Forrestal Channel 3 and Germantown Channel 97. It will also be sent via satellite to other DOE facilities outside of Forrestal and Germantown. Please contact your office for details.
The GE-Corridor of the Forrestal Building will be closed from 11:00 a.m. to the conclusion of the event. Please plan ahead and take a different route to the cafeteria.
Thanks for the live thread and thank you so much for being there! My dad just called from the Capitol steps! Wish we could be there but you know we are with you in spirit. Keep up the great job! We are so proud of you brave, patriotic Americans!
Perhaps some Freepers would be so kind as to take the Tea Party message to my congressman.
BTW--Thanks for being out there guys!
Been standing in line at the Longworth building for over an hour to see our congressman Chris Van Hollen.
We are about to go in.

You two do nothing but sit on your computers whining yet you have the arrogance to deride and misrepresent their efforts.
Shame on you both.
