No, he couldn’t be bothered with the Berlin Wall anniversary celebration. Things that have deep meaning to most Americans are not on his radar screen. All he has time to do is traipse around the world and tell people how rotten this country is, and apologize. And watch documentaries about himself on TV.

The Berlin wall was definitely on his radar screen. He intentionally dissed the event. To understand why, one need look no further that who uttered the words "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall."

Republican strategists should be keeping a list of all of the events and people he dissed and those he honored with his presence. It could make for excellent campaign ads in 2012.
