Which is why the Dem leadership and a lot of the rank-and-file are going to be prepared to do a kamikaze run to pass the thing. Once it gets in, it's going to be impossible to get rid of. And in the long term the dependence it'll create will help guarantee future Dem majorities, even if they lose the Congress in the short-term.

There is no such thing as impossible. If you don't like something get rid of it.
