Certainly he is a far better person to name a carrier after, but I still hate the idea of naming them after dead politicians. Using the names of places where naval aviators made their names shine was a far better practice.
Agreed. But naming them after heroes is also fine...and I prefer to look upon that naming as a consequence of his heroic service as opposed to his political career.
