Ya'all know I work with spices. Well, The NAV has figured out how to mix Oleoresin of Capsaicin from Chili Peppers and added that to paint - paint for below the water line. The mussles, barnacles and other little sea creatures that love to attach themselves to the bottom of ships don't like the feel of the capsaicin burning their little feet. They drop off and the ship retains a great deal of it's speed. It's supposed to assist in fuel conservation and reduced work load on the crew.
