Gay marriage has now lost in every single state 31 in all in which it has been put to a popular vote. Gay-rights activists had hoped to buck that trend in Maine.Wow, excellent news! Wish we could have voted on this in Connecticut, where gay marriage was forced upon us by an activist judge months ago.

And in the end, the SCOTUS will have the final say and we know that 5 of the 9 Justices will vote to overturn one of the gay marriage bans. And when one falls, they all will fall.

Earlier today, a CNN panel was touting a sea change in public opinion toward gay marriage. They were cheering and expecting big results in Maine tonight.

Gay marriage has been imposed by the courts and the liberal elites. It just lost in two Blue States. Naturally, this is going to put the Democrats on the defensive. Tamper with the institution of marriage at your political peril.

My wife and I don’t hate homosexuals, but we were proud to vote in support of Traditional Marriage and Question 1. We simply will not allow the homosexual activist to destroy our kids. The public has spoken loud and clear and we oppose this unhealthy lifestyle choice.

31-0!!!!
Can you imagine how the media would be spinning it if the situation were reversed and the gays had won 31 out of 31 times? Can you imagine the pressure there would be on the opponents of "gay marriage" to finally admit defeat and get over it?

Yeah, but I wouldn't celebrate. The vote is inching closer and closer with each election, and the handwriting is on the wall. In CA, opponents of homosexual marriage have been harassed, attacked, lost jobs (yes, I know a couple who lost their job as worship leaders at a CHURCH because they opposed "gay marriage!"), and otherwise persecuted. It is only a matter of time before the combination of the media and the angry harassment moves that 53% to 49% across the board.
Ultimately, this will come before the USSC.
