So, this loss is due to conservatives and has nothing to do with the fact that local party officials picked a candidate that was unnaceptable to her district (she had even been endorsed by Acorn) and then despite the NRCC pouring money into the race the Liberal Republican dropped like a rock in the polls. After dropping out of the race that “republican” candidate eventually endorsed the democrat. Perhaps this loss could better be blamed on the party bosses in NY and Scozzafava’s bitterness over her loss.

She was acceptable to that RINO district. Tonight we shockingly learned that far right conservative Hoffman was not acceptable to liberal NY. So unacceptable that 6% of GOP voters...when given a choice between a vote for a liberal rat, or a conservative spoiler...chose to throw their votr away

Dede was only unacceptable to Rush, Palin, and lots of other out of state conservatives.
