If largely republican precincts haven't reported there is a chance. But 4% down with over 70% reported, is tough to overcome.
Keep in mind on Doug Hoffman that 3 counties will not report their results online and one county, Fulton, has had a machine breakdown and will not report its results until tomorrow.

I am still hoping Hoffman will pull it off, but let’s face it, if he had not gotten into the race, a Scuzzyfaze victory would not have been any better than an Owen’s victory — as she so obviously proved with her endorsement.
Hell, give me a genuine enemy over a despicably untrustworthy friend any day of the week.
Forget the spin. Regardless of how this turns out, the Conservative voice of the nation has been heard and has shaken things up massively.
We gained TWO governors. That’s HUGH!
I never thought we’d win NJ. Never in a million years.
I didn’t think we had a chance in VA until about a week ago.
It’s been a good night. If Hoff can’t pull it out, it’s still incredible. He knocked off a Rino before election night. It’ll leave a mark.
The idiots at the RNC spent one million dollars on behalf of Scozza who in return for her endorsement of Owens will probably get some plum appointment from the Obama Administration. One response that must be made here is that Newt Gingrich is no longer a spokesman for any segment of the Republican Party.
If 23 was that conservative, then Scumwaffle would never have been the nominee. Demos change and it appears NY 23 changed to a more liberal area.
I'll take the states of New Jersey and Virginia.
They can have the hamlet of Watertown.
Side note: I spent a week in Watertown a few winters ago. One of the coldest places I've ever been.
True but the rest of the country shouldn't have to suffer from their idiocity.
Spot on. Rome was not built in a day. This is just the beggining. ( I hope) :)
It was reported that two districts won’t be announcing their count until tomorrow morning. Why is that? Does ACORN need more time to stuff ballots once they figure out how many they need?
Hoffman is down by 4000 votes with 74% (about 100,000) of the votes counted. He will have to take about 18,000 of the remaining 32,000 or so votes left to count. It’s gonna be tough. The incoming numbers need to start breaking for Hoffman NOW.
I’m a little disappointed, but only a little. I expected to lose in New Jersey, which I considered more important, so I’m very happy with the way this night played out.
As for Hoffman, its not that bad of a loss. He was very competitive despite coming out of nowhere just a few weeks ago and despite the fact that this race has been a total trainwreck.
We won two governorships, big wins down ballot in one of those states, and may yet win a major social issue in Maine. Its been a great night.
Folks this is a ‘one year’ election. In fact, whether Hoffman wins or loses, the campaign for 2010 starts TOMORROW!!!!! - and this time SCUZZBAGFAVA won’t be on the REPUBLICAN TICKET!
This result shows one thing, they ran the wrong candidate and the Rino ended up being the spoiler.

“I wouldnt be surprised is some in the GOP helped the Dem”
Exactly!
If the GOP establishment wanted to TRY to stop a conservative uprising, how would they do it?
The would give an early defeat to try to demoralize the conservatives and I think the fix was in from the GOP Country Clubers.
It won’t work, though.
Onward to Florida and Charlie Crist. Go Robio.
