SARANC LAKE, N.Y. The mood is getting darker at NY-23 Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffmans election party. Results from Jefferson CountyRepublican territory that John McCain carriedshow Owens in the lead. And the Syracuse suburbsMadison, Oswego, and Oneida Countyare not showing the blowouts that early polling suggested. The first results from Oswego show Hoffman at 2800, Owens at 2000, and Scozzafava at 324. The final Siena poll had Hoffman leading Democrat Bill Owens by a margin of 51 percent to 28 percent in this region.
I asked Hoffmans spokesman Rob Ryan for a reaction, and he suggested that it was hard to know the trends without knowing which wards the votes were coming from. Thats true, but its significantly less optimism than Ryan was projecting earlier tonight.
49-46 Gonna be a close one.
Fulton county is big county and went for Bush/Cheney 15 points. This county won’t report until tomorrow.
Bush/Cheney (Republican): 56.3%
Kerry/Edwards (Democratic): 41.2%
ACORN
This was on another Hoffman thread

Clinton county has reported all votes. That is the most liberal part of NY-23. Thats where all Owens votes are.
Still within the margin for SEIU and ACORN theft.
Hoffman’s gonna win!
How active are those groups in upstate New York?
You have a very proud tag line. Congratulations!! I am proud of your son too. I thank him for his service, and pray for healthy twins!!
Something is REALLY fishy up there in the 23rd. Too big of a gap between the final polls and the results coming in. Too much of a swing for a district that went so big for Bush and, also, McCain...
If Hoffman was ahead by 105% ACORN could still figure out a way to steal it. :-)
I so wanted a hat trick.
Can it still happen?
Karl Rove said it’s rural and would take hours, probably past midnight, and voting machine troubles, could be tomorrow before we know.
I’m not worried. If it’s a close loss the RNC will spend whatever it takes for a dozen recounts. Isn’t that what they always do?
Thank you - so far so good with the twins. Due date is February 18, but Doc says probably sometime in January.
Looks like its been set up for vote theft, some county won’t report till tomorrow when they finish messing around.
Latest results:
IIRC, the counties still not completed have previously trended towards the right. In different words, the counties that were going to run with Owens have already reported.
If any Republican wins it means he had to win by a whole lot, a lot more than the numbers will show.
I still think Hoffman can win, but I blame the GOP organization for the loss. The fact that these morons were dumb enough to nominate a flaming liberal and sink $900K into her campaign only to have her endorse the other flaming liberal shows that they have no idea how to run things.
