Exit polls are notoriously suspect. Ask Al Gore and John Kerry.

But New Jersey is a tough nut to crack. Corzine the lefty was ahead in actual votes based on absentee stuff. Christie has to overcome that lead. So Corzine becomes the "smart" money based on suspect exit polling.

But New Jersey always disappoints, if it doesn't tonight then it will be a small miracle.

Well, look at it this way: if a chimpanzee gets a 35 percent score on an algebra test, that's quite an accomplishment, even though he flunks.
