This is the sort of crime - raping an 18 month old - that deserves the death penalty. If I remember correctly, Louisiana had imposed it on several people but there's a court challenge about whether or not you can kill someone who hasn't been convicted for anything other than murder.

Someone who does something like this cannot be rehabilitated. Many psychologists will tell you it is not so much about sex as it is power, control, and dominion over innocence.

They need to be executed.

Agreed. People like these two don't survive in third world countries. The people of those countries don't leave it up to weak-kneed politicians and judges.
