Unless, of course, you really mean it.

Then, you grab 'em like your life depends on it ... because it does. You won't have time to screw around with mechanical "safety" latches.

This is NOT a ride you want to go on, unless you've totally run out of other options. At that point, time is rather of the essence.

BS, it would be no harder to make a safety that was easy to reach and take off, and would not interfere or slow down the pilot/copilot than it is to put one on a gun. If they are not going to put safeties on them, then they need to never give rides to idiots who can pull the handle without several hours of training on how not to grab the ejector handle.
