Gingrich, also adding: "I'm very, very let down because she told everybody she was a Republican, and she said she was a loyal Republican."

Apparently, Gingrich is as clueless as most of the other GOP leadership.

You are correct. he knew full well what she is, just like the other RINOs (Graham, Jeffords, Spector, etc) who have “jumped ship” either in name or everything but. There is something going on, and it’s not just from the rats.

That was my first thought, also, except the way I remember it Daschle was deeply saddened. Either way Newt is a damn fool IMO.

I doubt there is one single sane person in the NY state legislature.

Newtie should have run away, far away.

These clowns change party at will, depending on who pays them to switch.

"How could she have accepted all that support?" said Gingrich...

Uh, Newt? Two words: Jim Jeffords.

If I were an RNC staffer right now I'd be updating my resume. The big boys up top still think they call the shots and the notion that they might not is a nebulous dream to them. Sometimes the mule will listen, other times you have to hit him between the eyes with a two by four to get his attention.

Once she was selected,

That exemplifies the problem.

She was selected not elected. The local leadership caused the problem.

That is not an easy decision, and I can’t really fault him for making what now appears to have been an incorrect choice. But, hindsight is 20/20.

well there were plenty of smart people who were able to figure this out BEFORE she dropped out and exposed herself for the leftwing hack that she is. Laura Ingraham for one, had Newt on her show and tore him a NEW ONE over this, and he could NOT defend himself. This was on her radio show PRIOR to Scozza's dropping out and total unmasking. So, yes, i DO fault him for being stupid about this. He DUG IN when it was fairly clear he had erred. Her throwing her support to the Dem was a perfect illustration of what an absolute ass he was to be taken in by her.

It was a tough choice. But he had good reasons for making the choice he did. Just as Laura Ingram (Ingraham?) had good reasons for disagreeing with him.

Rush is right....Scozzafava did us all a huge favor. Newt has been outed...but the problem for him is that it’s too late now that the barn door has been left open and the RINO has bolted to freedom.

[”I’m very, very let down because she told everybody she was a Republican]

Yeah, and McCain, Specter, Graham and Snowe are STILL telling everyone the same thing.

OH, wait a minute, so are you, Newt.

How ironic.

Now I’m ‘deeply upset’. /s

I'm very, very let down because she told everybody she was a Republican, and she said she was a loyal Republican."

I can tie the shoelaces on both of my shoes simultaneously while driving on black ice blindfolded with one hand tied behind my back. It's true, and Newt believes me 'cause I said so.

...Turned me in to a Newt!

Hey gang, Gingrich long ago started to believe that he was as smart as people says he is supposed to be. He is just another guy that believes his own $hit. Newt, Jeb Bush, John Kerry, Pelosi Reid, etc. are the same way. But the KING of smelling his own farts and thinking they are roses is ---Al Gore. Gore even beats the Kenyan when it comes to being self-absorbed and convinced he is the smartest guy in the room. I'm super serial!

In America we need to: 1) Not allow anyone to give money or anything else of value to anyone running for Congress unless that person is legally registered to vote for the candidate. 2) Implement a 10% flat tax on all persons and all corporations. INCLUDING ALL "so-called" non-profits. This would be a start. 3) Ban any elected offical from being on the public airwaves more than once a month.
