The NY-23 special election on Tuesday has the attention of the White House at the highest levels, with White House sources saying that the endorsement of Democrat Bill Owens by "Republican" Dede Scozzafava came only after a call from White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel asking that she throw her support behind the Democrat.

On Monday Vice President Joe Biden will visit the district, and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee on Sunday was coordinating with its colleagues in the SEIU as well as the Working Families Party (ACORN) and may spend as much as $150,000 over the next 48 hours to defeat conservative Doug Hoffman. Had polling for Owens appeared stronger on Saturday, the White House was prepared to send former president Bill Clinton into the district as well.

Our instincts about Scuzzyfava were dead on right. Hoffman really needs our support.

In a Republican district such as this one the appearance of SEIU and ACORN could have a counter effect on the Democrats. At least I hope it does...

The election will be taken by the left wing just as they do in Chicago and San Fran and other anti-American locations. It is my firm belief that there will never be another real election as long as the left wing anti-American Democrats are in dictatorial command, as they are sending their gang members to take over in that district.

Hope I am wrong.

The last part of the article talks about division in the Obama Administration. I’m sure the SRM will be all over it (sarc off)

What did Rahm offer her?

Or did he? Like how do we know that Rahm 'asked,' or even urged her to drop out -- might it not be possible that he threatened or intimidated her somehow?

Something sounds really peculiar here...

Why is it that whenever I say the name “Scozzafava,” I feel the need to make the Hannibal Lector teeth sucking sound?

It all depends on how honest the UNIONIZED POLICE FORCE is. Thuggery will kill voter turnout. The thugs would win ala chicago.

I very much doubt he had to threaten her. If you look at her record, and her husband’s union thug job, you’d realize DeDe is a progressive imposter. She, Obama and Rahm have a lot in common.

Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and local talk show hosts in the New York district could really shed some light on this and expose this angle. Down to the wire folks.

Now that Dede has shown her true colors, I wonder if Newt is painted with the same stripes. He really backed a winner.

We are known by the company we keep.

We are down to the Battle of Little Round Top at Gettysburg here, folks. This is really pivotal. A LOT rides on this over the next 36 hours.

Everyone. Eagles Up! Do ANYTHING that you can do in the next day. Outside of the Free Republic Bubble, talking just to ourselves, preaching just to the choir.

Be proactive and find a way to help in the NY-23rd, even if you are miles and states away form this election district--you can do so by phone and fax and e mail. The Obama White House has thrown down the gauntlet. They cannot suffer a MASSIVE OBAMA PR LOSS if this district goes to Conservative Doug Hoffman.

Crunch time, folks.

I would’nt be surprised if Newt encouraged the endorsement along with Rahm. Newt desperately needs to prove his ‘vote for Hoffman is a vote for Pelosi, theory.

I don't buy that the high-ups in the Obama administration didn't know how radical Van Jones, etc. were. This is spin and it can't be allowed to work. If we put all the things Obama “didn't know” together he's an ignorant idiot: didn't know radicalism of “Rev.” Wright, didn't know about Ayers’ background, didn't know about federal ACORN funding, didn't know Van Jones, Anita Dunn, and whoever else in his administration who regularly espoused their radical views really felt that way. It's nothing more than ear candy for those who want to believe that Obama is The One.

I wouldn't be surprised if Newt's support doesn't move him away from any GOP leadership position. Other than the Media thinking he speaks for "all" Republicans and/or "Conservatives."

“The Obama White House has thrown down the gauntlet.

This is the gang that couldn’t shoot straight. By so investing themselves in this race, they no longer can claim that “politics is local” and that the results say nothing about how voters feel about Obama’s performance.

Everyone should get their popcorn ready to watch Axelrod try to spin his way out of the trifecta of Democrat losses impending in 23, VA and NJ. I’m confident tomorrow’s results will show quite clearly that voters are now hoping for change from the Chicago Way. Unfortunately, the last bozos to get this message are the thugs Obama brought with him to power (not to mention his enablers Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid).
