Boehner: 'political rebellion' felled GOPer in NY-23
Politico ^ | Nov 1, 2009

House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) is playing down the impact of the withdrawal under fire of the Republican Party candidate in a New York Congressional race, but the GOP leader is also warning of a new force in American politics that could pose a threat to both major parties.

"This is a pretty unusual circumstance," Boehner said on CNN's "State of the Union" Sunday as he discussed the withdrawal of Republican Dede Scozzafava from the NY-23 contest after conservatives swung their support behind Doug Hoffman who is running on the Conservative Party line.

"We are in the middle I think of a political rebellion going on in America and this rebellion are by people who really have not been actively involved in the political process and they don’t really care whether you’re a Democrat or a Republican they want to see people who are going to stand up and protect the future for our kids and grandkids," Boehner said...

Yes...you finally have it right Mr. Boehner! Sorry you are so late to the revolution.

I don't think the GOP leadership gets it. And Scozzafava richly repaid them for their support by running out and endorsing the Democrat. These people in Washington need to go! There will never be another GOP majority until the house is swept clean.

Interesting. I don’t think they realize that both parties better be afraid, this isn’t a democrat or republican issue we the people are pissed off at all of them.

The fact that Scozzafava so quickly endorsed the Democrat candidate tells us all we need to know about her.

The perfect example of what is wrong with both parties, they sell their own soul for their seat in the politburo.

Hat tip to Glen Beck for pointing this out.

“...We are in the middle...of a political rebellion...by people who really have not been actively involved in the political process...”

Sheez, Boehner! You’re either brain dead or haven’t been paying attention.

Of course these people have been politically active - I would bet all or most have been voting for much of their lives. It is the political parties and YOU and other politicians like YOU who haven’t been listening.

All of YOU work for the citizenry, not the other way around.

Exactly right, you entrenched career douchebags.

Nice to see that at least a few of you are paying attention.

With luck Boehner will get his walking papers in the next primary and be replaced by a conservative in November!

Dede “Scuzzy” was always an ACORN democrat undercover mole in the Republican Party.

Her first priority was to serve the party of Pelosi and Obama, not the party of Reagan and Lincoln.

“...I’m a big believer in Ronald Reagan’s 11th commandment: Never talk ill about another Republican,” Boehner said.”

Reagan should have followed GOD’s lead, and only had 10 commandments.

Either way John Boehner-R, get ready for some broken tablets and watch the sheep break ranks with the old Republican party loyalty crap!

She has proved by her actions that she really wasn’t a Republican. This is the current problem with the GOP. They support candidates that are Democrat lites. As such they should be drummed out of the party.
