I have often wondered what our nation will be like once Obama is no longer POTUS. By then, our race relations will be set back decades, along with many other facets of our nation’s growth. But the author raises a point I hadn’t thought of much. If those who elected Obama, and Obama himself, believe he is their messiah in so many realms of life - then are they redefining qualifications needed for office? Do they begin voting for the next deity to come along because they now want a president who will do more than promise ‘a chicken in every pot’, they want a messiah who will announce that with his presidency, the seas will cease to rise etc. Is a troubling portion of the voting public going to pine for a Caesar to vote for from now on?

we need another Coolidge and Harding, presidents who don't have big agendas and want to leave us alone and be prosperous.
