I am just checking to see how the vaccines have been made available throughout the country. I have seen posts on the site saying that they are in short supply in some areas and other posters are saying there are no problems getting them.
I would like it if you could tell us your state and what is the status of the vaccine availablilty in the area.
I want to make sure that the vaccines have not been made a political football. That we havent yet turned into an African kleptocratcy.
Be glad. I work in pharmaceutical manufacturing and none of my family is going to get this vaccine. Too many unanswered questions.
Most all clinics in SE Wisconsin were cut short. Supply not meeting demand.
An employee told me he’s recovered from H1N1 here at a what you said store. He’s strapping, athletic, about 27 y.o.
He looks paler and skinnier, and quieter. A strange red line running across his left eyebrow.
Only case I’ve known of so far. The rest of us have been mowed down by allergies.
I went to my doctors today in Fredericksburg VA and got both shots with no hassle. They are only giving the H1N1 vacine to high risk individuals (I have COPD).
SF
Shortage of seasonal flu vaccine in Atlantic County NJ - County Health cancelled half of their regularly scheduled flu-shot clinics in early October, and don’t know when they’ll be getting the vaccine to continue - doctors in the area are out of vaccine, and public spots like drug stores, Walmarts, and others have ended their offerings of shots - bad situation - thanks Obama......
No flu shot yet for my 6 year old. My 14 year old got one at her high school.
Chicago area is totally screwed up and uncoordinated distribution and shortages everywhere. People who should be getting them cannot. Hours long lines. Main hospitals with no shipments of the stuff.
Here’s a pretty good report from the CBS affiliate here:
“What’s up with the flu shot shortage?”
http://cbs2chicago.com/video/?cid=48
But the government said it was here to help?
My company got it for its employees, or at least many of them. How they did it, I dunno. Will get shot on Monday if I get in line early.
Anchorage Ak has had both avalible in “limited” amounts.
The school were going to have a big to-do and give everyone shots “for free” they canx. The claim is no vaccine.
I believe the real reason for cancelling was disinterest/lack of permission slips from parents.
IOW, No Sale. At least with the many parents we have talked to.
Yesterday, Friday, Senator Lieberman announced he met with Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and my state will now get 100,000 more doses within a few days. CT has received 178,000 of the half a million doses Sibelius promised by the end of October.
I want to make sure that the vaccines have not been made a political football.
Curious just how you are going to accomplish that?
Oh, I have all I need.
I was at a friend’s house last night. He is a prominent cardiologist and had the vaccine (shot) one week ago. He has been sick with flu like symptoms since he got the shot.
We were talking and I said it was strange that he is sick and did not get the nasal vaccine which has live but weak virus. I do not trust the vaccine, the fact the gov’t granted the vaccine makers immunity from lawsuits makes me very suspicious.
Jefferson City Missouri here.
No shortage of flu vaccine, but a definite shortage (i.e., there is none) of H1N1.
Not an issue here. No one we know takes flu vaccines. We don’t like getting the flu.
There is no shortage. It is the exuse to make up for people world wide refusing the untested crap. I know how the people come out of the woodwork when you say Alex Jones, but just listen to this report of the refusal to take the swine flu shots in Europe and even China and try to make the case that the money-mad pill companies failed to get those $20 shots out there: “Steve Watson on Alex Jones Tv 1/3:Possible Deaths From H1N1 Vaccine Reported in Sweden”- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lh99-6tFHhQ
If you read across the Internet the warnings should have told you medicine in this country is a joke and all about money instead of science. The industry can afford operatives to blanket the Internet with their messages while all the independent “health nuts” are spouting science and reason. Here is Mike Adams today- “Swine flu vaccine shots eliminate wrinkles, bad breath and varicose veins, too (opinion)”- http://www.naturalnews.com/027365_flu_shot_clinical_trials_shots.html
This is Dr. Mercola again today: “Common Links in Swine Flu Deaths...”- http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2009/10/31/CDC-Says-Kids-That-Die-From-Swine-Flu-Have-Coexisting-Bacterial-Infections.aspx
Figure it out already- government is criminal enterprise. It is either terra, terra, terra or pandemic, pandemic, pandemic. How about government is illegitimate, illegitimate, illegitimate?
My husband had what seems to have been H1N1 in June/July. He was very sick, and ended up in the ER for a few hours due to dehydration. He developed a secondary infection, partly due to dehydration we suspect. He's fine now, but was hit hard. Our 16 year old son had a sinus infection followed by bronchitis. Today he started his 4th round of antibiotics. He can't seem to shake it. Antibiotics help, but as soon as he completes the course of treatment, it worsens again. There's some residual stuff that's resistant. One of his friends is also dealing with a persistent bronchitis - worrisome.
Six kids died last week [statewide, I think] which was higher than the rate last spring, when H1N1 appeared to peak.
Seasonal vaccine was available everywhere in early September, which is when I got mine.
H1N1 was actually front page news in Seattle today, but no attempt by local MSM to tag Obama with responsibility, just multiple stories about the technical barriers to vaccine production.
Just imagine if a Republican was president...and was trying to take over the health care system to boot!
I wasn’t making a value judgment, or a medical one either...just replying to the thread’s originator about the supply of the vaccine.
I am a Doctor, and I am NOT getting the H1N1 vaccine, even if it is available. Evidence of it’s efficacy is scarce or unavailable, and it has been rushed to market...not a good combination. Personal choice for everyone, but not my cup of tea...but then again, I am older and the people seeming to have difficulties with handling H1N1 seem to be younger individuals with healthy immune systems. But even that is just an educated guess.
Oh...
And you do not need to tell me that the government is a criminal enterprise....I’ve known that for years.
I was one of the original Freepers, since like Jan 1998 ;)
