He was raised as one during his conformable youth in a foreign land and the seed of that faith were planted in his heart. He may be an American, but he's a Muslim in his heart.
I could move to Yemen confess myself a Muslin and yet in my hearts of heart would still have that seed of faith planted as a Christian. It would still conform my life and being in many unconscious ways
Obama already admitted he would side with the Muslims against the West in his own book, not real shocking if you consider his youth.
He's probably an covert agnostic, but politically speaking he can't admit it. Going to that black nationalist church was a political front as well

And you could tell by the expression that he kept on his face that he was totally enthralled by everything he was seeing. He looked positively reverential.

I disagree. I feel this slip shows the way he thinks of himself, and why wouldn’t he think this way? He was trained into it as a youth, and has expressed much admiration for Muslim prayer, etc. in his public pronouncements.
The clincher for me is that he did not even catch himself. Stephanopoulus corrects him, and Obama stammers a bit and deadpans “my Christian faith” with the tone of, “whatever”.
I would agree that he is not a devout man, and is very secular in his thinking, but culturally, he has a strong identification with Islam as this slip shows, along with many other indications.

You should watch the video in #60. Obama explains what he meant, and it's perfectly plausible because people make similar mistakes in their speaking all the time. To see this as some kind of admission that he's a Muslim is to do to Obama what liberals always do to Rush. They constantly misread him because they never give him even an iota of the benefit of the doubt. You have to be reasonable about this stuff or you wind up looking ridiculous.
