"The ascendance of the Conservative Party nominee in a New York special election suggests that some centrist candidates may be at risk to conservative challengers, strategists and members of Congress said this weekend." You betcha! It's open season on RINOS!!
And they sense it. Scampering for cover.

Sounds like they are getting the message. Nothing like an impending execution to get your thoughts focused.

People seem to forget that New York elected James Buckley, brother of William F., to the U.S. Senate when he ran as the candidate of the Conservative Party.
New York has a lot of conservatives who, for reasons I do not understand, tend to sit out elections.

In a word, “GOOD”. Incumbents are the reason we have the jOker as Pres—ent. They should be scared; most of them don’t deserve to be in office and thus should be on the same DeathCare program they forcing us onto.

Strategists said the new developments are a shot in the arm for the conservative wing of the GOP, which may be emboldened to launch primary challenges to anointed favorites and even members of Congress who do not conform sufficiently to the Republican platform.Good. This is the way it's supposed to be done. This way we are united in our desire to rid this country of Obama, Pelosi and Reid and Co.

Lets hope we an generate many Hoffmans around the nation to issue a serious wake up call to the GOP-- and if not, to replace them, district by district.

This might not be a valid comparison. Dede Scozzafava was not a garden variety moderate Republican. She was a liberal ACORN backer who supports partial birth abortion, gay marriage, and card check for union elections. If she were elected to Congress, she would be the most liberal Republican in the House.

He should.
Well, actually, the PEOPLE should worry the incumbents. RINOs and DEMON-RATS alike.
To: Sub-Driver
"Moderate incumbents worried about the next election may have to tack to the right to avoid a primary battle."That's the general idea. And these same "moderates" better understand that conservatives can smell bull sh!+ a mile away. It's all about how the incumbents VOTE. We'll be watching. Closely.

The left is more worried.
They do NOT want to face real conservatives instead of pale imitators of leftists.

This might not be a valid comparison. Dede Scozzafava was not a garden variety moderate Republican. As much as I'd like not to... I have to agree with you. Scozzafava was also not an incumbent.
One race under unique conditions doesn't constitute a trend, but it IS a good sign. And ANYTHING that makes a RINO sweat is good.
But we need to have more victories of this sort... and I count these developments as "victory" regardles of whether Hoffman actually wins or not.

“Moderate incumbents worried about the next election may have to tack to the right to avoid a primary battle.”
Nothing new about that. I wish they could understand that the base is starting to notice when they tack left in congress.
