Newt Gingrich’s Race to ‘08 Predictions
Gingrich predicted that McCain would choose Gov. Charlie Crist of Florida, Gov. Mark Sanford of South Carolina, or his current opponent in the race, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, as his running mate.
“Or he could do something truly different and potentially ask [Democratic Senator] Joe Lieberman to form a unity ticket because of the war to bring together Democrats and Republicans. I think Senator McCain has a wide range of choices,” Gingrich said.

Good for her. If she endorses Hoffman, even better.
She must be pretty sure that she's going to lose.

She didn’t say that. She said her supporters are free to vote as they see fit to do so, in other words not to vote at all or vote for Owens, and she didn’t have time to address all the things that were said about her, and her name is still on the ballot. What a self-serving statement, but what did we expect?
Total red herring - she did this to screw the conservative...most of her supporters are leftists - this is bad news for hoffman unfortunately. I hope that I am wrong but I believe the GOP hates hoffman and they want to shove it in our faces if he loses - the GOP probably asked her to quit because they want the lib to win.
