US: Mass. can't force gay marriage benefits

States that allow gay marriage can't force the federal government to provide benefits to those couples, the Obama administration argued Friday in court papers in a lawsuit by Massachusetts.

The Justice Department is at odds with Massachusetts - the first state to allow gay marriage - over a 1996 federal law defining marriage as a union between a man and a woman.

Massachusetts sued in July, saying that law is discriminatory and deprives gay couples in the state of some federal spousal benefits.

The Obama administration agrees the Defense of Marriage Act, or DOMA, is discriminatory and wants it repealed, but says it has an obligation to defend laws enacted by Congress while they are on the books and can be reasonably defended.

He’s hoping it will get bounced up to the Supremes and they will do his dirty work.

So the shadow government will muff the case and give the homosexual agenda another push through the courts rather than the legislature.

The Usurper has made it clear that he is against gay marriage, and that God recognizes marriage as between a man and a woman, and that gay marriage should not be respected as much under God.

So, any gay liberal wacko (sorry, I repeat myself) that aggressively pushed to vote for the Usurper, and now pushes for gay marriage, is a freakin’ lying hypocrite.
There is no credibility in this argument whatsoever.

Gay marriage will NEVER pass if it’s advocates continue to be the epitome of hypocrisy.

Sad too, I would have been OK with it (doesn’t really matter to me), but now I have been forced to be against it because it was supported by liberal wackos who forced the Usurper on the rest of us.

Add to this that President Obama VIOLATES DOMA every day as he has DIRECTED that federal employees in the State Department get benefits as if married. To HELL with the law is what this man and his administration and a whole host of the left think...the law does not apply to their world view.

When asked why an unmarried couple could not get the same they had the audacity to say all they have to do is get married. But not if your choosing to be Gay...no, then, like and illegal criminal immigrant the law does not apply because its not their world view.

More reasons to resent these un-American people.

“There is no credibility in this argument whatsoever.”

Actually, there is, if Obama was lying. And partly, I think he was. But I also think he’ll go on lying, and go on giving to gays only what is politically convenient.

Obama Gives Gay Partners Some Benefits

“We all have to acknowledge this is only one step,” Obama said in the Oval Office, where he signed a memorandum extending some benefits, such as visitation or dependent-care rights, to the same-sex partners of gay federal employees.
