Thats what it looks like and it reflects what Ive been hearing too.
The NRCC tells me directly that they are only spending money on anti-Owens ads. The anti-Hoffman YouTube? Gone. The anti-Hoffman press releases? Gone. The anti-Hoffman everything else? Gone.
The pro-Dede Scozzafava stuff? Gone too.
The RNC ground crews? They are pulling out to New Jersey.
The Dede Scozzafava campaign says this is all false. Then again, they say she is a Republican too.
H/T to Ali.

Awesome news. Paging the RNC and NRCC (and a FReeper who will remain nameless).

The NRCC listening to folks? I highly doubt that, they are all walking around in circles refusing to believe the masses know anything, but even they see theres no sense throwing good money after bad.I agree. This was a money decision. They can't bring themselves to actually endorse Hoffman or run ads FOR him, but they're at least running the anti-Owens ads...a backhanded nod to Hoffman and reality, anyway.

Y’all are missing the point! The RNCC is still trying to defeat all the conservatives possible - they need to prove that they’re in charge! Since NY-23 is lost, they’re redoubling their efforts in NJ. There, the argument that a vote for the conservative is wasted has had some effect; they hope party loyalty will save their bacon and keep those unwashed grass roots from taking control...
Would the Founding Fathers put up with this? Man up, NJ!

How bout some pro-Hoffman love? Our are we still the stupid party? I can fully understand the rationale behind not overtly backing someone who is running against an official Republican nominee. If the RINO/DIABLO withdraws, then they should feel to support Hoffman, but as long as she's still running, they can't overtly work against her. It's bad business.

Moe, Larry, and Curley have completed their work in NY and are now off to NJ to offer their “assistance”.

If Hoffman does indeed win in NY-23 on Tuesday, I wonder how long before the Republicans in Congress start trying to woo him into declaring himself a Republican?
I think Hoffman should use his “Independent” and “Conservative” statue to it’s fullest. Hoffman, if elected, should tell the Republicans that he will caucus with them, but he will not “join” or “rejoin” the Republican Party.
He should seek several plumb committee assignments in exchange for caucusing with the Republicans and being amenable to their agenda (this of course assumes the Republicans actually HAVE an agenda and the guts to pursue it).
Hoffman should also demand of the Republicans that they NOT fund an NRCC candidate in his district NY-23 next year, and that they apologize to the voters in his district for offering up a candidate such as Scozzafava.
He won’t get all these concession — but he ought to have the audacity to try. He would be in a strong position compared to the weak (kneed) Republicans in Congress right now.

Closing in on 1,500 posts. That one needed to have its posting privs suspended until after the election. I wonder if Mo is Newt ?

Murtha isn’t going anywhere, he’s a crook but he’s their crook... it stinks, but that’s just how it is in that district, all the $$ in the world isn’t going to change it.

NRCC had a Reality Check. Guess they heard from the Conservatives.
