it has some very livable suburbs. West of Bala Cynwyd, yes. The towns on the other side of the Delaware are awful, with Haddonfield almost being an exception (no alcohol!).

BTW: The best cheesesteaks in the world are NOT in Philly, but at the White House Sub Shop in Atlantic City.

I just got back from my first trip to Vermont. Never been to Philly, but its hard to imagine that the people there are uglier than the people in Vermont. Even the women had beards and looked like loggers. You must have been in Burlington. Only the men shave their legs.

Actually, we didn’t make it to Burlington. We flew into Manchester, NH, then floated around Lebanon/Tunbridge. We also made it down to Boston and up to Maine. Enjoyed Boston and Maine!

I live near Manchester - the last truly Republican city in New England (at least for now).
