I stand by my position that a nutcase who would purposely serve up a fatal poison to a neighbor's pet cats, while comparing it to a "bad meal at a restaurant," has a serious screw loose.

Did you read the entire article or are you merely reacting to the small excerpt that the poster chose to share? Are you aware that these cats did not die at home, but were euthanized by the vet? Are you aware that even after the first cat was put to sleep, they continued to allow the other cat out to roam the neighborhood and subsequently also become poisoned?

Do you honestly believe the cat owner's have no culpability in this whole affair?

Cats are very, very bad carriers or parasitic worms. If they are pee'ing in your garden they are crapping in it to, and you are eating all kinds of deadly parasites and I guarantee you cannot "wash them off" and even some of them cannot be "cooked out when in cyst form". So, if you have a cat using your garden as a litter box, I guarentee you are infected with worms that will eventually kill you. This problem is far worse than anybody knows.

I, for one, am amused that the owner of the cats wanted some type of sentence that would “prohibit” the “killer” from owning pets. I’m still trying to wrap my brain around that one.
