When you catch your neighbor's children urinating and defecating in your garden, then we'll talk.
I know this is across the pond. But I thought they had an additive to anti-freeze now that made it taste bad thus animals wouldn’t eat it? I know it used to be you had to be very careful with drainage of radiators, etc because animals love the stuff.
Yes it is and is one of the most painful ways any animal can be killed by. Looks like many of our fellow freepers aren’t such nice people and think that an animal using the bathroom like all animals do is grounds for losing their lives. No wonder this site gets such a nasty reputation.
As for antifreeze, I know my vet will immediately put down an animal if symptoms cross a threshold.
What's this nasty reputation you speak of? Since you are throwing out this charge, I want specifics. This is a conservative, intellectual forum where, presumably, the participants actually read the entire story and think about it rather than emotionally respond like a liberal.
What we "meanies" are trying to say is that the cat owners are just as culpable if not more so than this woman. She did not drag the cats from their home and pour anti-freeze down their throats. The cats invaded HER property and ate the tainted food that was on HER property. If the cats were controlled and kept on their owners' property, they'd still be alive today.
Did you actually read the entire article?
Oh, and you may also leave your address with me so my cat can "use the bathroom" that you apparently have located in your garden.
You migth want to follow your own advice about responding “emotionally”. :)
Although I'm not sure where you think I have responded emotionally, I don't believe I said not to respond emotionally, but rather not with knee-jerk emotion devoid of thought.
Still waiting to hear the details on FR's bad rep...
Exactly. The pet owners are responsible for their pet's actions.
Wow, you exhibit a great amount of common sense, unfortunately most pet owners do not, nor do they understand the role of parasites that their pets spread all around (including infecting the pet owners themselves). I mean, taking an animal into your home you have to de-worm every 6 months ought to be a red flag. This biggest lie ever told, we don’t have parasites in humans in the US ...
I know better ...
