I’ve been reading about this NORTHCOM bizness since late spring . I guess the time has come hasn’t it?

The national guard has helped out in civil disturbances for what, a hundred years or more. I have no idea when that first started. I would suppose it took shape at some point after the West was settled and our southern border with Mexico solidified. That being said, this is a horse of a different color in my book.
It is about as clear a violation of the Posse Comitatus act as I can think of. That law was passed in 1878.

??? Doesn't the Posse Comitatus Act have this covered? Illegal.
Do they have to be reminded of legal statutes.
it’s hard to tell from the article if the NORTHCOM exercises were normal disaster drills or something more.
OTOH it’s likely that anyone that went to public school in the last 25 years has no idea what we are talking about.

Dealing with disasters is what the National Guard and local law enforcement agencies are for. This is a horse of a different color. It does not bode well to me.
I’m sure that the military, that Obama, rather than supporting in Afghanistan while he dithers away his time trying to shove his socialist programs down our throats, is going to jump at the chance to establish military control of the American population so he can continue dithering. -not
