Election 2009: Virginia Governor Election [McDonnell up 13]
Rasmussen Reports ^ | 10/28/09 | Scott Rasmussen

Posted on 10/28/2009 11:11:08 AM PDT by Norman Bates

Republican Robert F. McDonnell has now opened a 13-point lead over Democrat R. Creigh Deeds with less than a week to go in the race for governor of Virginia.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the state - taken last night just after President Obama made a campaign appearance for Deeds in the state - shows McDonnell ahead 54% to 41%. Only four percent (4%) remain undecided.

Earlier this month, McDonnell led by seven, and last month he was up by nine.

Among those likely to vote, 49% approve of the way Obama has handled his job as president. That’s down four points from earlier in the month.

It was too funny listening to Gibbs try to spin this during the morning press briefing.

Bob’s up big.

Not big enough!

Get out the vote ... run up the score ... I want to see him win in a landslide.

The GOP is washed up as a party. The could not possibly win a battleground state. This poll must be wrong....

Exactly ... and this is not the time to get complacent. It's just one more week ... I'd love to see an epic thrashing, one for the history books.

I can't wait to see what falsehoods the Washington Compost makes appear from nowhere over the weekend.

Nothing more dangerous than a cornered RAT!

The story of 2010 is going to be the “Revenge of the Independents”. They swung to Obama in 2008 and are over the just plain “buyer’s remorse” stage and on to the “doing penance” stage.

I love how GOP big wigs - Pawlenty, Romney, Giuliani, Jindal, and Steele - are wrapping themselves around McDonnell as if they are claiming credit for the coming landslide in VA. Meanwhile, Chrisite and Hoffman are left to battle it out on their won.

So will a photo of McDonnell in bed with an aarvark suddenly pop up, or “proof” that he is from Jupiter? Or will Hussein & Co. just have him shot. Don’t be surprised by any of the above.

Pawlenty came out for Hoffman.

And are you saying that none of them have shown up for Christie? (I don’t know). I can understand (and disagree with) them not supporting Hoffman. But they should be there for Christie.

The only politican campaigning on behalf of Hoffman is Fred Thompspon. The rest gave money and vocal support.

Jindal did campaign for Christie last week.

With VA becoming a landslide, everyone wants to claim credit for it.

I feel like we are in one of those Yankee games where it’s 10-2: sure could use some of those points/runs in the NJ race.
