AUSTIN, Texas — Former Vice President Dick Cheney will throw his support behind U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison’s campaign for Texas governor.
Hutchison’s campaign confirmed today that Cheney will endorse the Texas Republican’s March primary challenge of Gov. Rick Perry at a fundraiser next month.

I read about Johnson. Some think the GOP might find a future by adopting olde school fiscal conservatism, which Johnson and Ron Paul support.
Also he served out his elected terms as Governor of New Mexico, if I recall.

I am just pointing out the nation building (which means empowering Demopublican politicans to forcefully spread “liberty” to every knook and cranny of the planet) and nanny statism go together like hand and glove. Johnson’s primary reputation is for supporting repeal of drug laws. One toke over the line, old Paulie, one toke over the line! Sorta like paleoPaulie’s primary reputation is for selling out America to its Islamofascist enemies. Have Johnson run for the Bingamon Senate seat and conservatives will have a better grasp of what he’s got.
