“...a major bridge connecting San Francisco and Oakland”

“The bridge, a California landmark...”

“...a piece of metal roughly 3 feet long fell onto the bridge’s westbound lanes...”

“The bridge closure was expected to cause a traffic nightmare during the morning commute...”

Did anyone else notice that the article never identifies to which bridge they are referring? Leave it to the Fresno Bee!

I guess we can assume the Bay Bridge, but you know what they say about making an ASS(of)U(&)ME.

There is only one. The SF/Oakland Bay Bridge.

I think it’s a safe assumption since the Bay Bridge is the ONLY bridge between S.F. and Oakland. Still, a competent editor would have named it. Traffic on the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge and the Golden Gate will be hell until repairs are made.
