Laredo Community College got a visit from a Mexican congressman today who talked about Mexicos stance on the United States immigration reform.
Congressman Jose Medina says the immigration crisis is a human problem that begs a human solution and that the U.S., Mexico and other nations should work together to become one America on one continent.
Medina also stated his own views on immigration reform.
"I think legalization is the solution for people asking for permission to work legally in this country."
Medina was elected as a member in Mexicos lower house of congress in 2000.
WoW! What a surprise!
I think he’s right. I say we send the Marines SOUTH and take over their oil operations.
heh ;)

You betcha!....BUILD THE DAMN WALL!
Apply for statehood
then we can saddly you with welfare and taxes like the rest of the USA
but at least we will be able to go exploit your resources
Sounds like a friend of Jorge Bush.
This Mexican legislator is just another Hispano-Racist who thinks that Mexico is entitled to be in the US
Economic Anti-Americanism is the biggest threat to this country today
Of course Im sure that “Wonderfully prove” concept of “redistribution of wealth” has absolutely no bearing on the good congressman’s vision of “one America”

I'm sure there are plenty of Mexican peasants who'd like to move in to Medina's home too.
If the Mexicans let Americans buy a big chunk of Mexico one small piece at a time, in the long run there would be better integration of the two countries.
One wonders whether this guy has checked with Canada to see if they are down with this brainstorm. :-)
Take Mexico for the US & assign it about ten or twelve states.
Thanks for your opinion on my country Medina.
I have an opinion to express about yours. Why is it that so many people are trying to leave a Country which has such oil and tourist wealth? Where does that money go? Why is it that the further up you go in Mexican society, the whiter and more European the citizens?
Is is possible that Mexico is run by a cabal of Euro-Hispanics who want to do as much as possible to keep the Mestizo and Indian population either ignorant and exploited, or ship them out for other people to take care of?
......become one America on one continent.....
Translation: Gringos to Canada...La Raza consumes of the rest of the USA...
Yes. We need to demand reciprocity. Whatever we extend to their citizens must be extended to us if we want to inhabit their space. I’d even let them set the rules so long as the rules apply to both sides. This is true in so many areas. I am willing to play by almost any rules which apply to all the players. But I refuse to live by rules which constrict only me or by rules which change with the phases of the moon according to someone’s needs.
maybe if we started supplying Guatemalans and Salvadorans with GPS units, maps and instructions on how to sneak into Mexico they’d start to get the message.
That’s my observation too. Upper levels of government, unions and business are less Indian. Ditto in Cuba.
