Christie has the GOP base already revved up. The Quinnipiacc poll is wrong - NRO is saying that the D-R-I weightings are way off.

Then all the more reason for her to go...

This isn’t a Red State. Christie should only bring in people who would appeal to Independents at this stage — Giuliani, who is well-known and highly regarded, as an example. Christie needs to get Daggett voters back into an anti-Corzine mood and reassure them, not further polarize the electorate. Bringing in Palin would more likely motivate Democratic voters.

Because if she did, it would repel the moderatesand the Dagget less committed. Corzine has alot of campaign effort to link Christie to Bush. They are not stupid - it is effective here in NJ. Linking Christie to Palin is their best dream. Dagget will deflate down to 5 to 7% by the election. The real battle is for the wishy washy moderates. There are not enough conservatives to carry the day.

But that’s not what the pundits were saying last night on Fox. I heard that Christy needs to rev up the republicans to come out and vote for him.

But in the same breath they said that the more people voting for Dagget the less will go for Christy.

With all the anger and dissent against Corzine’s records, why on earth is the guy competitive? I mean, I would think he’d be voted out by droves.

This guy was a disaster Governor. He’s raised taxes, lost jobs etc.

Who?

With all the anger and dissent against Corzine’s records, why on earth is the guy competitive?Becuase Chris Christie will take away your right to choose and his healthcare plan will not cover mamograms. These have been his most effective messages. That being the case, what do you thing injecting Sarah Palin into the race would do?

"From what I’ve read about Christie, he’s not really letting anyone know about his beliefs in any areas, except that he’s not Corzine."

It would be hard to call Cristie an empty suit but you have summed up his campaign. The GOP is going all out with campaign letters. I get 5 for every Dem. But no pun intended - where's the beef?

I think some responders have convinced me that she would probably galvanize the democrats, but I don’t know. It sounds like Christy will win if enough republicans come out and vote.

Fox Pundits have been known to get things wrong.

I was disgusted with Fox & Friends this morning as Gretchen went on and on and on and ON about the Quinnipiac Poll. Only Brian mentioned Rasmussen. Steve made a counter comment but did not cite the more reliable poll or pan Quinnipiac.

It truly made them look stupid. Gretchen breathlessly reported that only a couple of days ago Christie was UP, and now look, he’s down by FIVE. She made a rookie mistake of assuming all polls are alike and you can compare apples to oranges with impunity.

Well, they’re not all alike and you can’t interchange them like that. You would have to take Rasmussen and then a later Rasmussen. Or a Quinnipiac and a later one.

I bet there’s lots of KIDS who know better than what she did.
