Former Arkansas GOP Gov. Mike Huckabee is deploying his grass-roots activists and raising money for the campaigns of conservative candidates in states that are key to a 2012 presidential run.

The effort is run by Huck PAC, the former governor’s political action committee, which has 6,000 members spread across all 50 states, 46 of which have volunteer state coordinators.

Huckabee has a Christmas book coming out next month. He is going to promote his book in churches in Iowa and South Carolina.

Say what you will about the Huckster, but he has effectively used Fox News to promote himself as a serious candidate. That is why he is the front runner in the 2012 primaries. The question is how will people react when they examine his record as a Christian Socialist of AR vs his mainstream conservative Fox News persona?

What Huck did to Fred in 2008, he will do to Sarah in 2012.

What Huck did for McCain in 2008, he will do for...Mitt in 2012.

—That is certainly a great risk. The problem is that the Huckster knows how to appeal to Evangelicals and pretend to be a conservative. He really is Elmer Gantry on steroids.

Someone they trust needs to explain to the Evangelical Community that this guy is a FAKE.

The stealer planning to throw the election again.

Well, if he wins, he’ll behave better than Bill did. Arkansas produces some real hybrids and our conservatives tend to be more for the common man than the Country Club Set.

parsy, who don’t have to pay dues to go out in the woods

Please explain how/why he’s a fake.

Out of 179 views or so there are 7 negative posters.

It looks like he’s not your choice as if the rest you’ve mentioned are perfect.

Identity politics at work. Just as there are Mormons who vote for Romney out of a sense of religious fraternity, Evangelicals will do likewise. Remeber, there was a reason why the Huckster appeared on all the TV Evangelist shows during the Iowa primary.

Maybe you have him confused with Buddha but I’m not interested in rubbing his belly and making a wish.

I like Mitt but I have to admit that if Hoffman wins in NY-23 that Sarah is the new party leader. Newt would be finished and Huck nor far behind. Pawlenty jumped on board as of late so he's still be alive.

Huck is a fake, because while he may be a Christian, he is also most certainly not a conservative. Huck rides at the vanguard of the reconstituted Christian Left.

Same folks who brought the world the National-Socialist movement, the KKK, prohibition, et c.,. The Republican party cozied up to this bunch awhile back to regain influence in the deep south.
