I have no doubt that the issues discussed in this article are just as bad if not worse here in the USA.
An important distinction that the article fails to make is that a nuclear holocaust was (and remains) a very serious threat, but so much of the 'green propaganda' is an entirely artificial scare tactic designed to extract money from prosperous nations and to attack Capitalism with flawed 'climate change' computer models.
When the Soviet Union collapsed, the Reds here in the USA and elsewhere moved seamlessly into the 'environmental movement' because they found that they could be just as effective or even more so in their efforts to destroy Capitalism through fear and endless attacks against industry and 'consumerism'.
If I had been Blessed with children, homeschooling would be my only option in this poisonous environment.
"These issues are frightening and upsetting for adults and even more so for children."
We always head this crap off atthe pass. We get notes from teachers because our kids laugh out loud at their indoctrination.
And slay their enslavers.
This will not do.
Scholastic had an article in my daughter’s weekly reader last year (2nd grade) about Global Warming. They discussed it in class.
She started crying when we got in the car and I cranked it up. “Driving our car will kill the polar bears!!!”
That was a tough afternoon of trying not to tell her that everything she hears is crap, but also that some of what she hears is crap. Fine line.
Tots didn't send the letters, adults did.
How about not “greenwashing” the little tykes because the whole concept is rubbish?
This will give the parents of government school kids a chance to tell their kids that sometimes the government tries to scare people to get something the government wants out of them. They exaggerate and lie. Don’t pay much attention to them. Pay attention to mommy and daddy.
These folks are planting some ominous looking seeds. Not likely to bear pleasant fruit.
