I’m sending him a pocket-sized book of hymns and some chocolate chip cookies. He said he’s good to go with hand warmers and baby wipes, and that whatever else was in the box was going to be GOOD!!
He said the hole he went into was deep, but I got the impression it was not the first time. He said he wasn’t scared. I’m so PROUD!!
You should be proud! When I stopped at the Food Lion after dropping the kids at gymnastics, the cashier asked if I wanted to buy a box of chocolate-covered cherries for the troops. I did, and she said they’re going to give them to the National Guard troops when they get on the plane to leave the US, since they can’t be shipped overseas.
