When did this little prick decide that he was the spokesman for the GOP?

I would think that it would be better to elect a liberal democrat to this seat than a liberal republican.
With a democrat you stand a chance of fixing it in 2 years, with the RINO it would most likely be permanent.

I just think it is a mistake for the conservative movement to think splitting in the special election is a smart idea, Gingrich said. If we give that seat to the Democrats, shame on us.
No, if we give that seat to the Democrats, shame on the GOP. I say we should lose that seat if a RINO is opposing a Democrat. All RINOs should be defeated whether they lose to a Democrat or a Conservative does not matter. Any RINO should be seen as a big an enemy as a Democrat. Having a RINO in any seat is no different than having a Democrat in it so what do we stand to lose? Like I have said many times on here already, while I was very saddened by Obama winning, I really did not feel that bad McCain lost. We need to support Sara. We need to let the GOP know that we would rather let the Democrats have a seat than to put a RINO in it.

You're missing the point, Newt. Giving the electorate the choice between an unacceptable candidate vetted by the party dons, and losing the election to the other party (whose candidate is arguably worse), the electorate has revolted. This means something, Newt, and it isn't that the electorate is stupid, it's that your system is broken.
Fix it here and now, or get out of the way, Newt. If it has to be addressed on a national level in 2012, we'll have another McCain as a candidate and another 0bama term.

If we give it to a Liberal “Republican” shame on us.
If the ‘Pubbies want to fight the grassroots over it, they lose. Why not go along with us?

The Democrat-Lite Party has two choices; return to the conservatism that made this nation great or watch your big empty tent collapse on the clowns, jugglers, and the dog and pony act.

Shame on you for putting party politics before principle!
A mistake? The mistake here is endorsing a leftist and telling the rest of us that the leftist will ultimately help the conservative cause.
The Republican Party is in trouble if it depends upon people like this to wave its banner.

Newt does not want the third party candidate to succeed because it means Palin’s influence is strong. It means Newt’s intention to run for President will not garner much support or not as much as he would need to win the nomination if Gov. Palin was not in the race or influencing other voters.

Newt is a liar... proved time and again... take globull warming...he is a cheat... ask his ex-wife... he is a thief... he has stolen the Conservative ideology and defined it down as liberalism.

Screw you Newt! I’m not voting for another John McCain just to keep the Republican name-brand. If it walks like a Democrat, quacks like a Democrat, and flies like a Democrat - then it is a freakin’ Democrat! Let the people vote for a Democrat if they really want a Lib agenda, but give conservaties a place at the table. NO MORE ARLEN SPECTERS!! No more Lindsay Graham Crackers!!

Hoffman would caucus with the Republicans, I’m sure, and vote when them when he thought it was appropriate.
While it is true that voting for a PRESIDENTIAL candidate who does not represent a major party is self-defeating, building a party to displace one of the major parties, or taking over one of the major parties, from the ground up is the way our system works.

If we give that seat to the Democrats, shame on us. A bad RINO is worse than a Dem.
You know where the Dem stands all the time and if there are any surprises they are in your favor.
Who cares if the RINO votes right 90% of the time when the RINO votes terribly wrong on the most critical 10% of the issues?
