With Washington’s gaze fixed on the contentious, three-way House special election in upstate New York on Nov. 3, California’s 10th District contest on the same day has been largely overlooked.

But with just over a week to go before Election Day, California Republicans continue to hold out hope for an upset victory by Republican David Harmer in his bid to replace former Democratic Rep. Ellen Tauscher.

I posted yesterday about this race at “An Upset in California?

This race looks like it could be winnable. It is an opportunity to flip a seat from the Dems to a fiscally conservative Republican. Harmer looks like a strong candidate, and the polls are much closer than they should be in a supposedly “safe Democrat” district.

I am contacting the NRCC to ask why they are supporting Scozzafava in this race, and why they are ignoring David Harmer in California’s 10th district. Here are the numbers if anyone else wants to call:

Also, perhaps those of us who donated to the RNC or RCCC should ask for our money back so we can support the conservative candidates of our choice.

Candidates I support: Doug Hoffman for Congress, NY 23rd (PayPal), David Harmer for Congress, CA 10th (website for info).

Please, spread the word about these important special elections on November 3, 209: New York’s 23rd congressional district and California’s 10th congressional district.

I guess the voters in CA-10 haven’t been hurt quite enough yet. If they put the Dem in office let’s see what they do next year when they have to vote again...

Sure would be huge if there were an upset here. The media would ignore it of course but it would be a bigger sign of Demo weakness than if they lose in NJ or NY.

I have been putting in many hours each week trying to get David Harmer elected. He really is a true conservative and a great family man. This race is neck & neck. Garamendi is using all kinds of dirty tricks, not to mention the fact that he brought Slick Willy in to stump for him. If you can’t help out with phone calls or precinct walking, how about going to his website at http://www.harmerforcongress.com and donating a few bucks? You won’t regret your decision.

This is a much more important district than New York's 23rd because it contains the Travis Air Force Base and the Lawrence Livermore National Nuclear Laboratory.

Having a Republican to have oversight of these two facilities would be a Good Thing.
