Utah Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch brought up a claim he said "some people" have made, that President Barack Obama is waiting until after this year's gubernatorial election in New Jersey and Virginia before making a decision on sending more troops to Afghanistan. There ain't no other reason. He's afraid of suppressing RAT turnout if he announces the decision before the VA and NJ elections.

Deeds is a lost cause for the donques, and Corzine nearly so, so he's wasting his time in an exercise in futility, while our troops hang in the balance. What a maroon!!

"outrageous
that partisans in this country would say that the President of the United States" is delaying the decision on troops for political reasons. As opposed to Bush/Cheney/Halliburton/Big Oil/Iraq? It's now outrageous to accuse the president of such things?

Everybody across this world who cheered on the democrats in the last national election, and shouted relief when republicans were defeated, please remember in your old age what happened in the 3-4 years that followed. I hope it is good, but believe it may be otherwise.

I can't help thinking it is the other way around . He is not going to send enough troops and fears the backlash from all Americans who are concerned about giving our troops the man power and resources to get the job done .

There ain't no other reason. He's afraid of suppressing RAT turnout if he announces the decision before the VA and NJ elections. A decision might also hurt Obama's many many fundraisers.

Senator Hatch better be watching his back. He could end up having a car accident, plane crash or heart attack if he keeps putting the heat on Obama.

How stupid is that?
Last week the Obama administration bent over backwards explaining that they were doing exactly that! Delaying the decision based on the outcome of the Afghan election. That's not political? I'll bet the Afghans disagree !
