I just re-read Dracula a few years ago. It really is a classic. I think I’ll give this “sequel” a miss.

For some good modern werewolf/vampire stories, I suggest Patricia Briggs. Also Jim Butcher. Both are excellent writers, and both understand the difference between good and evil and avoid sleazy scenes, which I believe is not the case with a lot of the current crop of teenage vampire stories.
