REPUBLICAN David Harmer knows the odds. His Democratic challenger in the 10th congressional district special election, Lt. Gov. John Garamendi, has more money and name recognition in the heavily Democratic district.

The Cato Institute was so impressed with his book on school choice that it published it in 1994. Called "School Choice: Why You Need It, How You Get It," Harmer argued in favor of allowing parents to direct the tax dollars they pay for education to the school of their choice.

I am sickened that he seems to have almost no support from the RCCC. They are busy going all in for a radical leftist in upstate New York. A previous thread with a posting at redstate.com says this is a 7 point race, and potentially winnable for the GOP.

Everyone..SEND MONEY...we are going to have to do this by ourselves....We must support our conservative candidates.
SEND MONEY direct to the candidate, that is.
I’m sending my NRCC begmail back to them - taped to one of a pile of bricks that I need to dispose of.
That’ll help their return postage standing with the Post Office, AND reduce wasted space in the local landfill.

Someone here on FreeRepublic says they believe that the folks at the RNC who open mail just throw away all the surveys and letters and keep the checks. I figure my “checks” with messages on them might get a little further, possibly to someone who actually reads the message.
